Black theater
Is there a world without wars? Not that I know
of…
We all thrive and seek for peace and quiet
lives,
Meanwhile, we need to deal with so much agony
and pain.
Berthold Brecht started writing when in an
instant he dropped his pen and said: "Did you open the newspaper this
morning? What can I say when every moment carries news more horrifying than the
one before…
In my works, I deal with the conflict of the
occupation along with great sensitivity to the Arab spring revolutions. The
pain wraps the whole of the middle east including us.
In my paintings, I
describe soldiers fighting demonstrators with smoke grenades while wild dogs
and wolves are mingling among the hysterical mob disappearing in smoke. People
fighting in unidentified landscapes or a street war in a place that can
represent Gaza, While threatening and at the same time also threatened
shadowy figures of people and wolves running away from a blast.
The wolves symbolize the absolute other and
raise the question Who is the enemy here?
When time to march comes, Many do not know
That the real enemy is the one who marches at
the head of the row.
The voice who gives the orders
Is the voice of the enemy
He is the enemy himself.
